Step1: Present the new words of the four seasons.
¢Å The teacher says:"Please look out of the window ," then ask the students:
¢Ù What's the weather like today?
¢Ú Which season is it now ?
¢Û How many seasons are there in a year ?
The students answer the questions.
¢Æ The teacher show the cards about ' four seasons ' in front of the class .
¢Ù Ask the students : Which season do you like best ?
Then the teacher write down " spring " on the blackboard . And learn " summer , fall , winter " in the same way .
Step2:The teacher says : How is the weather in spring /summer /fall / winter ?
¢Å The students answer : It's warm / hot / cool/cold
¢Æ Present all the new words and phrases in Part 1a and finish Activity 1b by
listening to the tape.
Step3:
¢ÅEncourage ¡¡the ¡¡ students to try to
describe the four seasons with the words and phrases they have just learned .
¢Æ Ask the students write the passage about
the four seasons in the exercise-books quickly.
Step4: Think about the some questions : ( by listening to the tape about Activity 2 a )
¢Ù Which season is the warmest/coldest in the year ?
¢Ú What's the weather like in summer / winter ?
¢Û Which season do you like better , spring or summer ?
After listening to the tape , answer the questions and learn
Step5:
¢ÅAsk the students to listen to the tape : Activity 2a and 2b, and read after it .
¢Æ Ask the students to read together with the tape and then have a dialogue with it .
¢Ç Ask the students to act :
Activity 3a and 3b .
Step6: Pracise :
¢Å Have a free talk in groups about seasons and weather .
¢Æ Ask the students to write four seasons and the weather .
Step 7:Tell the students today's homework
Homework :
Let the students write a passage to describe a season he likes best and say the reasons .
